Clara Bijl was born in Paris and raised in the French Alps. She went to school in Munich, Germany then in Geneva, Switzerland; later she attended the College of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina. Upon graduation Clara moved to New York City. She studied film for a year and then chose to pursue a career in Stand Up comedy. Since her comedy debut, Clara has appeared in all the New York comedy clubs, she has performed in Universities and Colleges around the country. Clara’s extensive traveling brings an international flavor to her comedy. Her humor is described as intelligent, witty and funny. Clara was a semifinalist in the 2003 Comedy Central's Laugh Riots Competition. She is a writer for the world hit TV show Le Petit Silvant Illustré, she has directed 3 short films and she is continually working on staying funny.
